The ISGSD 2024 is now open for submissions. The theme of ISGSD 2024 is Go Green Industry
Prospective authors are invited to submit their abstract, extended abstract of research and case studies on subject matters relevant to any of the sub-themes of the sessions. The prospective, valuable contributions will be evaluated by a Scientific Review Committee.

Green industry initiative for sustainable industrial development
Green initiatives and sustainable industrial development are becoming increasingly important in today’s global landscape. Companies are recognizing the need to reduce their environmental impact and are implementing initiatives to promote sustainability. This includes reducing carbon emissions, implementing renewable energy sources, and adopting eco-friendly production processes. By integrating these initiatives into their operations, industries can not only minimize their ecological footprint but also achieve long-term cost savings. As the world continues to prioritize sustainability, these efforts will play a crucial role in shaping the future of industrial development.
The International Symposium on Green Industry Initiative for Sustainable Industrial Development underscores the green technologies which promote the use of renewable resources, conserve the use of energy and natural resources, promote a healthy and improved environment for all forms of lives, zero greenhouse gas emission and minimize the degradation of the environment.
The International Symposium on Green Industry Initiative for Sustainable Industrial Development delves into
- Concept, theory, fundamentals, metric, analysis
- Architecture, designs, algorithms, approaches and
- Domain technologies with a commitment to and action on reducing the environmental impact of processes and products by improving production efficiency: using resources more efficiently and optimizing the productive use of natural resources; enhancing environmental performance: minimizing environmental impact by reducing the generation of waste, emissions and environmentally sound management of residual wastes; and minimizing health risks: caused by environmental emissions, along with the provision of goods and services that support the occurrence of these environmental emissions.
2.0 SUB-THEMES
You are invited to submit abstracts & extended abstracts for ISGSD 2024 prepared using the given template. The official language of the conference is English. Abstracts written in English will be accepted for both poster and oral presentation formats of the conference. The work presented should be related to any of the ten thematic areas listed in the section “Conference Tracks” of this website or to any areas falling under the conference theme. An Author Declaration Form should be submitted with each abstract. The theme of the symposium is Go Green Industry.
An Extended Abstract (an extended version of the Abstract with more elaborations) should also be submitted together with each Abstract which would help the reviewers to better comprehend your research work during the Abstract review process. It will be used as a preliminary filter by the Review Committee in case subsequent full-paper manuscript submissions are to be considered for publishing on the online web portal named IDB – Research Ready for Commercialization.
If your abstract is accepted, you will be asked to submit the camera-ready version of the abstract before the stipulated deadline.

This track focuses on the use of a holistic system-based approach to decouple economic growth from accelerated environmental degradation and resource use. Topics may include;
- Environmental and energy management systems
- Product life cycle optimization and process optimization

- Air and water pollution control, including sustainable wastewater treatment

- Substitution and/or minimization of the use of hazardous substances (such as ozone-depleting substances and persistent organic pollutants or POPs) for improved risk management and the enhanced safety of workers, communities and consumers;
- Green and sustainable value chain management, reporting, communication, eco-labelling, etc.

This topic focuses on the adverse effects of population concentration in cities which leads to environmental pollution, poverty, unemployment, low productivity, poor housing, lack of basic services and the concentration of risks associated with climate change and mitigation of adverse effects by a paradigm shift to greener cities.
